What is the shelf life of your products?
Your cake jars are fresh for 8 days after you receive them. Your cookies are fresh for as long as they remain soft. You can put your cake or cookies into the freezer to extend the shelf life.
When do you bake my order?
We bake your order when we are ready to ship it.
What type of ingredients do you use?
We only use real ingredients in our baking. We bake with flour, sugar, butter and eggs. We use real vanilla and chocolate. We do not use any preservatives.
For Gluten-Free items we use a gluten free flour and no wheat.
For Vegan items we bake without eggs and milk.
We do not have a wheat free or nut free kitchen. While we offer some custom vegan and gluten-free products, the choices are not the same as our regular flavors.
What happens if my cake melts during shipping?
We have taken precautions against melting but we recognize that sometimes things happen during shipping that are out of our control. If the cake arrives soft, refrigerate for a few hours and give it a chill. If the cake arrives melted, call us.
What is the shipping time?
We bake and ship Monday thru Friday. Shipping time is one to two days depending on where you are located in the nation from our kitchen near Chicago. If you want to guarantee shipping by a certain date, get your orders in at least a week in advance. We do not offer overnight shipping and while we wish our ovens were magical (and some say they are), we still need time to bake your items after receiving your order. Therefore, if your order comes in on a Saturday or Sunday night, please consider that we will not bake it until our work week begins on Tuesday. Just consider us your neighborhood bakery ---we need some time to process your order, bake your order, assemble your order and ship your order. Craftsmanship takes time.
What shipping options do you offer?
We ship via FedEx Express. Processing time is 48 hours and shipping time is two days during the week and four days if it includes a weekend day. If you need another shipping arrangement, please contact us.
Are your products nut-free?
No, our products are not nut free. While some of them contain nuts and some don't, we are not a nut-free kitchen. We also bake with coconut milk. Because of this, if you have a severe allergy we recommend that you do not consume our products.
Are your products gluten-free?
We are not a certified gluten-free kitchen. While some of our products are baked without wheat, we do bake with gluten products in our kitchen. If you have a severe allergy to gluten we recommend that you do not consume our products.
Do your products contain dairy ingredients?
Yes. Our products are baked with real dairy ingredients using eggs, milk, coconut milk, cream, and butter. If you have a severe allergy to dairy we recommend that you do not consume our products.
Do you accept custom orders or large bulk orders?
Yes, happily! Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how we can help you.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds for a food product unless something went seriously wrong during baking. Since baking is an art and we bake from scratch, that may happen from time to time. If it does, just call us so we can replace your item. If however you just don't like the flavor or the texture, we do not offer a refund. We understand that everyone cannot like everything. We appreciate you giving us a try and we truly hope if you don't like one flavor that you try another. We've conducted thousands of wedding tastings with bridal couples in our ten years in business and what we notice is just how different everyone's palates can be! However, we are happy to report that we have never had a wedding tasting where the couple did not find a flavor they loved to include as their wedding cake. If you try enough flavors, you will find your favorite too!
If you provide us the wrong information for shipping, we do not offer refunds. If you inform us of the correct information before we ship, we are happy to change it. If you inform us of the correct information within a few hours after we ship, we will contact FedEx for you and change the shipping location. If however it is delivered to the wrong address based on the information you provided, we cannot offer a refund for that.
