When we created The Sugar Path we knew that what really mattered were the ingredients we used. While our recipes are important, they were created around the ingredients we wanted to use. Why is this important?
The founders were raised in a small farming community in the Midwest. Literally, their home was surrounded by corn fields. Most of their food came from the backyard garden and what their family didn't grow, they purchased from local farmers. They lived the meaning of "food is love" and learned the importance of using fresh products. When they started The Sugar Path, they knew it would have to expand on this homegrown philosophy.
The founders also learned early on that food brings us together. It creates lasting memories. To create a food business that survives generations with food memories is an ode to the legacy their grandparents left them.
Our main mission is to create products that make a difference. Our sweets help people celebrate life and create lasting memories. Because of that important task we know that they must be the best of their kind. To be the best, the ingredients we use matter to us.
In addition to our important main mission, we know that we must do social good. The pandemic brought upon us all an increased awareness of the social issues that plague our world. If we don't care, who will? So we thought to ourselves: "What can we do with our business that will change more lives?"
On the tail of the pandemic one of our founders recovered from a grave case of Covid with her Golden Retriever by her side. Following that her beloved pet got cancer and in nursing him through it she learned so much about how many dogs are dying of cancer, the poor quality of food sources and also the crisis in our country surrounding animals in shelters. Her cause seemed to loom before her. While our goal is to create products that make a difference in the lives of humans, our mission is to help improve the lives of animals. We will donate a portion of our net profits to dog rescues and senior dog sanctuaries.
Every time you purchase a product from us you help us fulfill our two missions. Someone is celebrating with our sweet treats and creating a memory, and your dollars are helping to better a pup's life.
